I was the first one up on Christmas morning. I woke up and couldn’t sleep any longer so I got up to make sure everything was perfect and ready to go. Ryan and Maisie woke up a few minutes later. I made Ryan wait in his bedroom until I roused Micah out of the bed. This is what Ryan saw when he walked into the living room:
Santa brought Maisie a Baby Stella and a walker/stroller. I may have been a bit more excited about Baby Stella than Maisie was! She is the cutest little baby ever and even has a magnetic pacifier. Santa also brought her the feeding set for Baby Stella that includes a jar of peas, a bowl of cereal, a bottle, spoon, and a bib.
Santa brought Ryan three tractors, a pop gun …
And an 8-piece Avengers set. Those silly Avenger guys (and gals) were keeping a watch on our Christmas tree from atop the picture frames …
Zubert left Ryan a note explaining that he had gone back to the North Pole with Santa. He also left him some special cereal to eat on Christmas morning, although Ryan chose to eat Cheerios instead!
The kids started out by pulling everything out of their stockings:
Maisie’s favorite present of the day was this bowl from her stocking. She didn’t want to play with anything else and enjoyed putting her other little things in and out of the bowl. It’s the simple things :-)
Ryan got these handcuffs in his stocking and, as you can tell, was not happy when Daddy locked him up!
After playing with their stocking items, it was time to open presents.
Ryan got a light saber, an ant farm, Sequence for Kids, a kid’s Bible, and a puzzle. I think his favorite gift was the light saber.
After Ryan unwrapped all of his gifts, it was Maisie’s turn. She pulled a few pieces of paper off and then was pretty much done with it, so Ryan unwrapped the rest of her gifts.
Maisie got a couple of new bath toys, a puzzle, an owl piggy bank, and a couple of books. We also got her this name quilt, which I am in love with!
I adore these two pictures of Maisie with her baby!
Micah and I exchanged our gifts after the kids were done with theirs. Micah got me a IOU for a painting of a picture of the kids, so now I just have to figure out which picture I want to use. I got Micah a homemade knife that he has been wanting. He guessed his gift several weeks ago, so I let him pick out the knife he wanted but he didn’t get to see the actual knife until Christmas morning. Here he is admiring the beautiful knife:
Last, but not least, I had to have a picture of my two babies in front of the tree:
We cleaned up our mess as best as we could, ate our Christmas morning cereal, and got ready to go to my parents’ house for Christmas with the Russells.
Merry Christmas 2012!!
