Maisie dressed as a cute little zebra …
And Ryan was a muscled-up Batman!
I was able to get some pictures of Maisie before we left for daycare. She cried almost the entire way in to Springdale. I finally figured out that she was mad because she couldn’t pull her tights off. Normally she pulls her socks off as soon as she gets in her carseat and since this was her first time to wear tights, they made her a little angry! She was tugging them with all her might but they weren’t budging!
I love this picture of Maisie and how you can see the roundness of her costume …
Everyone was bringing their kids up to work and I couldn’t stand not bringing my kids so I left an hour early to pick them up. They told me at daycare that Ryan wore his costume all day, only taking it off for nap. Obviously he loved it! I took the kids to work to show them off. Ryan got a lot of candy just in the two offices we went to. He and Maisie even got some money in the Planning office since they didn’t have candy! We even got Ryan to flex his muscles a few times!
After we left my work, we stopped by to see Mrs. Shirley and Mr. Wyman. It was good to see them and they were happy to see the kids.
We then met Eric, Jessica, Rowan, and Amelie for dinner at Subway and then headed to the same neighborhood that we went to last year to trick-or-treat. Here’s a group picture of all the kids – Rowan the Cowboy, Ryan as Batman, Amelie the Sweet Pea, and Maisie the Zebra.
I think this picture is so cute! Obvioulsy they all adore Amelie!
Rowan got called a cowgirl all night long, but he didn’t even seem to notice. One person told him he walked like a real cowgirl! HA! He is so cute!
Amelie chillin’ in her stroller …
Ryan and Rowan had such a good time running up to the doors. It was super crowded and by the time they would get their candy, there was normally 10-20 kids lined up behind them. They had trouble getting out of the crowd to get back to us.
You can tell Ryan loved getting candy. They finally got the hang of knowing which houses to go to by noticing which ones had their porch lights on.
Here is the best picture I could get of both of my kids. It was at the end of the night and all the kids were quite grumpy by then!
We had a good time and Ryan got a lot of candy. Micah said he will never go trick-or-treating there again and I really don’t blame him. It was too crowded, especially for little ones. But the kids had fun and that is all that mattered!
