We celebrated Christmas with our little family of three on Christmas morning. Ryan woke up bright and early after sleeping almost 12 hours! He had forgotten that Santa was supposed to come the night before, so thankfully we were able to keep him in our bed for 30 minutes or longer before he started saying he wanted to get up. I videoed him walking into the living room. It was hilarious because he didn’t even notice the presents out by the Christmas tree. He just stood there saying, “Cheese, Cheese, Cheese'” because he thought I was just wanting to take his picture! Here is a picture of what Santa left for him:
He wanted to use his chalkboard right away and then quickly moved on to his guitar. Hope he wasn’t too disappointed that it wasn’t pink, like he had been requesting!
He played with his guitar for quite a while before we were able to tear him away to look at his stocking.
I love how he got so excited over the smallest toys. He loved his helicopters and airplanes that were in his stocking. He also had a good time with his Toy Story etch-a-sketch and loved his new straw cup. I just love this age because he is just as excited about the little stuff as he is the big stuff! Too bad this probably won’t last!
We got him some Superhero dress-up clothes, some puzzles, a toy tape measure, a book, and some Dominos.
Here’s my lovely husband. Can’t you tell he is super excited to be up so early on Christmas morning?! HA! HIs Christmas present was a gift certificate to have a quilt made from all of his old t-shirts. In his stocking, he received a toy gun like the one Ryan got for his birthday so that they can have gun fights, a much needed new wallet, and some candy.
Here’s me showing off my new Razorback Cotton Bowl t-shirt that was in my stocking. I also got a couple of new games and some cozy socks, which I love!! My gift from Micah was a gift certificate to Bedford’s to help buy a new camera. We are going to combine my birthday money and all our Christmas money to get a Digital SLR camera!! I can’t wait!
Micah cooked us a delicious breakfast of fried ham and eggs. Ryan stayed busy playing with his new toys as we got ready to go to Granny & Pa Russell’s for our final Christmas celebration of 2011!
